Happy Birtday Joan
Today is my mother's 77th birthday. I love her to death and I want her to be happy. She is never really happy and I accept that today. God bless you Joan

Is she an Iowan? Maybe she and my mom are friends. (hehe---well, there aren't that many Iowans! Maybe they all eventually run across one another.)

Happy Birthday to Joan! And I have a theory about midwesterners... the culture says there is something immoral about being happy, and something very holy about suffering. ... just my theory.
M.C. I think you got something there. As a kid I always felt, if thing went well I should not let God know because, God would zap me. I am so greatful I got to know the real deal God and not that petty bastard I was raised with.
Mother's are special. Hope that your mother enjoys her special day. I can feel your love for her. That too is very special.
Well well well happy belated. May we learn from them in every manner, whether it is thier greatest characteristic or their weakest, no matter what they teach us. :)
