  Letters to God
Letters intended for God were recently found on an Atlantic City beach by a New Jersey insurance adjuster. About 300 letters all requests for prayer were sent to Rev. Grady Cooper, a New Jersey minister who died in 2004. These letter however, did not end up on Cooper's alter as intended. Somehow the letters, many unopened, ended up dumped in the ocean.

wierd

But God heard them when they were written.

Still think the message that needed to be heard was heard.

Hmm...

Hope you're well. Take it easy.

:-) x

f*ck my letters to santa better not wash up on some beach or I am gonna be p*ssed-*ff!

moral of the story...

we can wish upon a star
and send letters to our gods
via prayers and meditations..
saves stamps too!

I think selling them on Ebay defeats the purpose of prayer. I think they should be taken to the church and placed somerwhere safe for eternity.

Prayers are not items to sell.

Cheerio

Wow, some of those stories are so sad.

As far as selling them on ebay... Yikes. I don't agree with that guy for doing that. They should be burned or returned to the church.

Good post though!

hmmm

They were probably better off in the ocean than on the altar.

The ocean is the altar for the letters now but what an asshole.

The world is a crazy place. Made me think of that story about the man throwing starfish back into the ocean.

Very interesting. I don't know why (maybe because it is late and I just watched some stand up comedy and ate waaaaay to much sugar ;) but I thought about what John shared with me today...

He told me a 600lb. bull was found roaming the streets of Newark.

....is that not strange? Then I your post about these letters and I think ....

It is late and things just seem really strange today. I better go to sleep.

I will check back in on Sunday and see if they still seem strange.

Nitey nites~

Hi Trudge,

Hope you are doing well.

Uh oh spaghetti-O!

Hope your weekend is peachy.

Some of those letters seem so sad. It's still strange to find them in the ocean though. Thanks for sharing the story, Trudge!
