Former Congressman Mark Foley, who is temporarily America's best known sexual predator, appears to also be "one of us." You may be asking which us, as the personal revelations come flooding out of his publicists office.
I thank God that the Life Raft of A.A. is big enough for all of us.

Yes and I pray for those that make the decision to jump off. There still is a place for the new and those that keep coming back.
Funny, my addiction never made me a sex offender....I'm tired of people in the public eye crying "rehab!"

I am SO with Scout on this issue. He just pisses me off royally, because he's trying to blame everyONE and everyTHING instead of stepping up and taking responsibility for his actions and behavior.
He MAY be an alcoholic. He MAY have been abused and/or molested as a child.
He big fat DID send those creepy emails, hitting on teenage boys, and he needs to quit blaming that on his past experiences and present addiction to alcohol, and take responsibility for being a predatory sex offender.
I, too, am tired of people in the public eye who get caught with their pants down (metaphorically) and then say, "It's because I'm an alcoholic!" Bullshit. Alcohol may lower your inhibitions, but you're the creep you are to start with, alcohol or not.
