Something about the last couple of sentences of that product article that just doesn't sound right. I really hope no one suffers such a side effect if they do take that in hopes of relief. Damn side effects to everything these days always sound so scary.
Reminds of another "quick fix" I read about years ago. It fizzled out as I would suspect the sobriety did. Everyone wants that magic pill. We have all the answers but just don't want to do the work to find them. Peace.................
With the side efects a person just as well be drinking. It sounds like a hangover to me. Living thelife I do today if they came up with the magical pill that would allow me to dink again like "normal" people do, I would have to pass.
Bipolar thoughts: A) Perhaps it'd give the alcoholic a bit of a glimpse into the sober life he/she's longing for and give them encouragement?
Z) How does this help the alcoholic take responsibility for their actions? Seems to me they can easily rely on someone else for their recovery/non-recovery.
Like everything else, it's another potential way for folks to stay sober....
I think I saw that pill somewhere. I was at a hotel for a seminar and they were in the room beside us. A bunch of Doctors and Nurses.
Too bad they totally do not get the whole "ism" thing, like the behavior that is with many of us before we even took that first drink. For me, drinking simply allowed me to survive a little bit longer in life. Luckily, I made it to the rooms after I was sick and tired of dying from the inside out.
