  Avoidance
There are three things that I need to do that I have been putting off doing for the past several months.

First, I need to read my Gmail. I have not read my Gmail since that night that I freaked out and asked for everyone phone number. So if you sent me your phone number I am sorry that I have not responded, I am still avoiding reading your E-mail.

Yesterday, I had the day off but, I could not get anything done because I felt so bad about the things I have been avoiding.

Comments:
I think procrastinating is one of the more painful manifestations of my disease. I am doing some of it right now.

Its so great that in recovery we get a chance to learn how to start any day over again and do things differently. For me, contrary actions really do work. And I imagine those emails are mostly positive---from people who care.
Hope you find the courage, if not today...

I can't help but be curious what the other 2 things are.

... go to grocery
... get pilot's license renewed

is that all?

oh wow. I know that feeling- being so overwhelmed by the things to do that I can do absolutely nothing- which just makes it all worse.

Unfortunately, the only way out is to do one of them. Usually, after I do, then I realize my worry was all for naught and then I start remorsing over the time I wasted worrying about all the stuff I wasn't doing....LOL IN-FRIKIN-SANE.

hey lady... no worries
and dont beat yourself up
have a fantastic daay

somethings we avoid because we are not ready to face them..at least your open about it.
have yourself a fab' weekend.

I procrastinate while knowing fully well that I'll feel like a million bucks if I just ACT.

I think alcoholism is a personality disorder, and that putting things off and going into a paralyzed worrying is a number one symptom. You have my empathy as well as sympathy. Just today, I managed to get out of a rut, after some serious morning prayers.

...Want to remind you, it does feel so so good when you let the spirit move you!

best regards,
johnjackson

At least you know what you're avoiding :) Go for it, you'll feel SO MUCH BETTER afterwards :) And all of your readers are supporting you!!!

Do it and scratch it off the list. You know you will feel better..

This sounds all too familiar to me...hmmmm
icu,
jj

I hope this weekend you discover avoidance release.

Are you avoiding posting?
I see you,
JJ
