My then-sponsor went to the 2000 International Convention in Minneapolis. When he came back, he told me that the main speaker on Saturday night was a well-known person from the music world. He wouldn't tell me who it was, but assured me that it was a name I certainly would have recognized. Now that's honoring anonymity!
Reading Tradition 11 in the 12/12 may help. Whether she broke the tradition or not depends on the context of what happened.
Did she state her membership in AA knowing that it would be in print? If so, that is probably wrong. If it was an "off the record" comment and the writer decided to include it, then no tradition was broken.
